We are a state with a myriad of activates year round.
The warmer summer months may find your cooling off in your swimming pool, at a local resort or at one of the water parks; tubing the Salt River; taking in an AZ Diamondback baseball game in the state-of-the-art air conditioned stadium, or simply enjoying the cooler temps of the high country. Winter brings some major events such as the Fiesta Bowl, Phoenix Open PGA golf tournament, the Arabian Horse Show, the Barrett Jackson Car Show, spring training baseball and more. For those who love keep fit, there are miles of hiking and bike trails providing for both great exercise and amazing views.
Metro Phoenix is one of the largest metro areas in the country. The new mass transit light rail system allows people to tail-gate to all of the sporting events including the new sports arena in Glendale. There is no shortage of things to do in Arizona. From professional sports teams, opera, fine dining, street and art fairs to champion golf courses, there is something for everyone.Several five star resorts and restaurants can be found around the valley and there is never a shortage of variety here in the valley when it comes to jazz, rock, and any nightclub you can imagine. Happy New Year – 2012!! So what are some of the January happenings in Scottsdale in 2012? January is one of the busiest months in Scottsdale.
